    APO stops services to Gabon

DAKAR, SENEGAL: The African Press Organisation, a distributor of press releases related to Africa, announced on Wednesday, 1 September 2010, its decision to stop providing services to the Republic of Gabon.

"Facing several excessively delayed payments occurred since July 2008, facing the wait-and-see policy of our interlocutors within the Presidency of the Gabonese Republic, and vis-a-vis a total lack of guarantees regarding the payment of our last invoice, emitted nearly six months ago, the African Press Organisation had no other choice but to stop providing services to the Republic of Gabon," declared Valerie Ndiaye, APO's business development manager.

Since July 2008, the African Press Organisation provided consultancy to the Gabonese ambassador in Paris, ensured media monitoring for the Presidency of the Gabonese Republic, provided several daily press reviews sets by themes, and was in addition in charge of the distribution of some press releases issued by the Presidency of the Republic of Gabon.
