Michelle Marcelline paving the way for better online experiences

We've all forgotten our passwords at one point of our lives or another. It's just one of those things that just happens, especially when we are asked to use different passwords for different accounts, and our passwords need to have all types of characters. Sometimes, we just lose track of what our passwords are simply because it is not possible to remember so much jargon in our head, but we are required to have unique passwords for better security.

Weak passwords can lead to security breaches - there’s enough research in the area to verify that people generally use their birthdays or the names of their loved ones, thinking that it wouldn’t be easy to guess. On the other hand, strong passwords are no less secure, because they can easily be forgotten, especially when you practice using a different password for each account. Michelle Marcelline decided that enough is enough and gathered a team of five in order to tackle the situation. Their solution? Cotter. The passwordless authentication platform gave users a one-step login that is both secure from hackers and secure from memory lapses. The success of the platform led it to become acquired by Stytch, but that isn’t the end of the line for Michelle Marcelline. No, she’s only just getting started.

In 2021, the demand for well-designed websites grew. It was no longer enough to have a functional website. Websites needed to be intuitive and keep up with current trends such as minting NTFs. All of that is made possible with Marcelline’s latest brainchild: Typedream.

The way that Typedream functions is that it gives non-coders the ability to design their websites from scratch and also greatly reduces the need for experienced coders to waste their time and energy coding from scratch. As such, Marcelline has succeeded in addressing another first world problem that would usually cost a pretty penny. Rising from a non-descript town from Indonesia, Marcelline is definitely one to watch in the space of innovation and technology. There’s no telling what she will do next, but one thing’s for certain, she has a magic touch in terms of raising funds and is a visionary in her field.

The tech business developer has achieved so much more than people her age. At just 24 years old, she was featured in Forbes’ 30 under 30 list, and she attributes her accomplishments to being a steadfast learner.

“I was that student in school. I got straight As and had the opportunity to study in Silicon Valley where I was surrounded by the brightest minds of my generation. It is such a humbling and inspirational experience and I’ve never once allowed myself to waver from finding solutions and tinkering with ideas of what I can offer and give back to the community.” Michelle Marcelline’s intuitive and innovative ideas speak volumes for themselves. How many people can boast about getting into @YCombinator at the tender age of 21? Yet Marcelline did it, and she will continue to rise up the ranks of business developers and techpreneurs and become a force to be reckoned with.
