Sheik Waleed Al-Ibrahim is Advertising Person of the Year at Dubai Lynx
The award, given to an individual who has advanced the reputation and profile of the communications industry in the MENA region, honours his contribution to the media and entertainment industries.

Al-Ibrahim has been responsible for launching a series of successful TV channels that talk to different audiences in the MENA region. Amongst these are the well known MBC1, MBC2, MBC MAX, MBC3, MBC4, MBC Action, Wanasah, MBC Drama and MBC MASR. Recently, he has been instrumental in rolling out HD channels that cover the worlds of movies, sports and entertainment.
He is also famed with being one of the first Arab businessmen to launch a news channel. Since its launch in 2003, Al Arabiya News Channel has extended into a global network of correspondents and reporters with nearly 30 offices and bureau chiefs around the world. Additionally, he has started a variety of successful social media outlets and digital platforms which include www.mbc.net, www.alarabiya.net, www.shahid.net, www.actionha.net and www.mbcprosports.net.
