Manufacturers in the spotlight at Oil & Gas Africa Expo

Cape Town-based CNC machinery manufacturer Uni-Cam SA has staked its claim at the Oil & Gas Africa 2014 expo to display its new range of Computer Numerical Control (CNC) cutting machines, including several new heavy-duty industrial routers. The expo takes place from 2-4 July 2014 at Cape Town's International Convention Centre (CTICC).

Uni-Cam SA's Business Development Manager Rod Panagos, is very excited about the potential for the new machines in South Africa and the rest of Africa. "Our products are competitive in quality and cost compared to similar imported units from both the East and the West," says Panagos. "We are negotiating with potential business partners in South African industrial centres and in a number of African countries, to sell and support our machines."

"Oil & Gas Africa 2014 is the ideal platform to launch and promote Unicam-SA's range of CNC plasma cutting machines," continues Panagos. "With Cape Town being a major servicing point for Africa's oil and gas industry the companies providing fabrication services need faster, more flexible and cost-efficient production capacities.

Based in Cape Town, Uni-Cam SA is ideally positioned to supply machines and services to the fabricators."

Positively Pumps takes on Viking Gear Products

Positively Pumps, also based in the Cape, was recently appointed the new Western Cape distributor for Viking Positive Displacement Gear Pumps and Mag Drive (Seal-less) pumps, and will showcase these new products alongside its range of Water and Solar Pumps at Oil & Gas Africa 2014. Owner Brian Cumming says the show is the perfect platform to promote the company's new products to the African oil and gas sector.

"The Revolution pump is the latest innovation in positive displacement pumps for sanitary and industrial markets, merging the benefits of competing technologies into one platform, Cumming explains.
"Typical applications include food and beverage, pharmaceuticals and bio-pharmaceuticals, personal care, chemicals and similar demanding industries," explains Cumming. The unit's improved rotor geometry is ideal for increasing product yields, and for gentle solids handling such as the transfer of fruit in yoghurts and pulp products such as tomatoes, strawberries, olives, and even chocolate. We will be knocking on doors to get this product into these industries!"

Viking also manufactures displacement pumps, mag-drive pumps, gear pumps, water pumps and solar pumps.
