Residential Green Star SA training course from GBCSA
According to eProp website, the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) is offering a new course that will teach attendees how to use the Multi Unit Residential (MURT) Green Star SA rating tool.
MURT measures objectively the environmental performance of design-and-construction phases in new and refurbished multi unit residential buildings.
As the world's population increases and people move to cities in growing numbers, the need for suitable accommodation in urban centres increases, as well. Multi-unit residential homes are therefore an attractive option for city dwellers, and greening these developments are important for the development of sustainable cities. Tenants, who have become more discerning, want to know that their home hasn't had a negative environmental impact, and that it will be a healthier space to live in.
The GBCSA Green Star SA rating system adheres to the new SANS 10400-XA energy efficiency requirements, eProp website reports.
