SA's 2018 Saint-Gobain MultiComfort House Students Contest winners revealed
Vahin Parmananda and Mthokozisi Sibisi from the University of KwaZulu-Natal were selected by a panel of industry experts as the local winning team in the 2018 Saint-Gobain MultiComfort House Students Contest. Their project, Solar Creek Community, proposes a climate-driven approach to creating sustainable communities.

Parmananda and Sibisi will have the opportunity to compete in Dubai from 12 May during the international stage of the competition, where they will showcase their design which takes into consideration comfort and safety features such as thermal, acoustic and visual properties, as well as air quality and fire protection.
Sixty-eight students entered this year's regional competition from four Southern Africa universities. In total 34 projects were submitted. Seven shortlisted projects were presented at the national stage in South Africa: six projects from the University of Johannesburg and one project from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
