Logistics firm wins best distributor award

Chris Creed, Managing Director Vector Logistics proudly displays the Famous Brands Award for runner-up Supplier of the Year. Vector Logistics also won the award for best Distributor of the Year.

Chris Creed, managing director of Vector Logistics attended the awards celebration in Johannesburg to receive the trophy.

"This is an outstanding achievement given that we have only had the Famous Brands (Wimpy and Fish Aways) business since September 2008. It is certain a testament to the customer focus and service excellence that we have at Vector," Said Creed.

Lorette van der Merwe, planning and forecasting executive of Famous Brands said, "All suppliers compete in their individual categories that they fall under, e.g. Vector Logistics is adjudged under the Distribution Category, one of six.

"The parameters for assessment are stringent with a third party audit being carried out on facilities. Once the top three names emerge our business units and procurement departments cast their votes to ascertain the winner."

Each category winner then competes for the overall Supplier of the Year Award, and this year Vector Logistics achieved the runner-up prize.
