Corobrik's Centre of the Year is East London

Corobrik's East London sales centre has won the group's coveted Centre of the Year Award for 2013, making it their fourth win in the past nine years. A total of 28 Corobrik sales centres across the country compete for this sought-after award annually.

Prizes are presented to the top performers for the previous financial year which runs from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013.

Two East London employees also scooped individual awards at the company's annual conference in Pretoria in August - Steve Behrens was named sales manager of the year and Vuzi Nhoyo was sales representative of the year.

A panel of senior Corobrik directors evaluates all of the centres against a number of criteria including whether they have achieved their budgeted net trading profit and whether this has exceeded previous years.

The company also conducts a national customer service survey every quarter. Randomly selected customers who have bought Corobrik products in that quarter are asked how happy they were with the service received - and this feedback is also taken into account for the awards.

Other factors considered are the standard of stock control and housekeeping and the internal auditing reports.

Consistently good performance

"The Corobrik East London centre attained the highest overall score and we would like to congratulate Steve Behrens and his team on this achievement," said Mike Ingram, Corobrik director of sales KZN and Border. "Since it opened in Bowles Road in 2002 the East London centre has delivered a consistently good performance because of the team's dedication to customer satisfaction."

Corobrik's East London centre covers the eastern part of the Eastern Cape from Port Alfred to Queenstown and east to Kokstad, Matatiele and Bizana.

"This makes their achievement even more noteworthy as they cover an enormous territory and, in some areas, roads are poor so delivery is a challenge," Ingram said. "Sales figures have been above average although there have been no major projects in this area - purely on-going work with sales coming mainly from the home consumer and small builders."

"We truly appreciate the valued support the East London centre has received from the local building fraternity and from our accredited distribution network."
