Mehta, who holds a degree in Pharmacology, will be addressing the Poultry Outlook Forum on the topic of 'Liquids for Delivering Nutrients via Drinking Water during Critical Growth'. The forum, which is in partnership with The World's Poultry Science Association (WPSA), will offer this and other valuable information on the latest advances in poultry research, science and technology.

Ashkan Animal Health in partnership with the South African Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will also be exhibiting at this premier event, showcasing its product range together with up and coming technologies for poultry farmers to maximise their birds' growth potential.

Exporting to Middle East

"I am extremely thankful for the DTI's assistance and through exhibiting at VETme I hope to contribute to increasing the exports of South African manufactured goods to the Middle East," says Mehta.

Ashkan Animal Health, which already has a distribution agreement with Bayer Animal Health in South Africa for its products in the sub-Sahara region, would also be looking at prospective trade agents and distributors for the Middle East.

"We have already doubled our manufacturing facility in Kyalami, South Africa since 2006 and will soon be able to offer the manufacturing of powders to complement existing liquid, creams, pastes and gels," concluded Mehta.
