Information Minister, Labaran Maku gave the advice on Thursday, 1 November 2012, in Lafia when the delegation of the National Good Governance Tour inspected some projects at the Nasarawa Broadcasting Service (NBS).
"Broadcasting as we know today is going to change drastically so there are new methods of sending signals from transmitting stations. You no longer need your own wholesale transmission infrastructure like we have them," he said.
Commending the efforts of Nasarawa State Government for re-equipping both the radio and television stations, Maku charged the management to use the stations to promote unity and peace in the state as well as educate people at the grass roots.
In his remarks, NBS General Manager, Yusuf Musa said work has commenced on upgrading the infrastructure to accommodate new digital equipment.
