GSEC Ahmedabad Airport goes live on Kale's GALAXY airport cargo management solution

GSEC Ltd deals with both export and import shipments. They are also focused on handling of precious cargo, silver and gold, apart from other miscellaneous cargo. They were looking forward to replacing their existing legacy system with a more standardised solution that could help them rationalise costs and serve a wider range of customers. They required a system compliant with industry and government regulations.
With web-based GALAXY- Airport Cargo Handling Solution, GSEC has completely digitised its custodian/airport terminal operations and the customs related messaging, which has been the key highlight as they can now send and receive all customs EDI messages including SB, LEO, BoE, RFE, IGM, OC, CARR, FFE, LOC, SEG, GP. The system provides extensive reports and visibility of operations to the supervisors and management of GSEC.
Commenting on the occasion Mr. Samir Mankad, director, GSEC Ltd said, "GALAXY is a state-of-the-art application that incorporates global industry standards and Kale Logistics as the solution provider, holds extensive experience of working with leading airport custodians and ground handlers in India and across the world. Hence, it was an obvious choice for us.
"With GSEC coming on board GALAXY, we are one step towards our goal of unifying the global supply chain. GSEC went live on GALAXY in record time, despite a very key change to the logic of transaction calculation from an AWB level to SB level. This could be accomplished only because of proactive and synchronised working of Kale's GALAXY development team and GSEC user group." said Mr. Vineet Malhotra, senior vice president, Kale Logistics Solutions
GALAXY-CUSTODIAN is a complete solution consisting of custodian operational functions. It provides features like TSP processing, acceptance, customs messaging and warehouse management for export, import and transshipment cargo.
