In digital marketing, it is evident that data is what sets companies apart, with many believing that big (data) is better. But data alone, no matter the size, is not enough to give that competitive advantage. In fact, it is not completely unreasonable to believe that with all the web analytics tools available, sooner or later you and your competition will be collecting very similar data. So, what will put you ahead of the pack will not be your data but what you do with it. Simply put, analytics data cannot provide any insights or advantage unless it is applied.
