Reliving those daisy dearest times

If you were one of the 17,000 who came and conquered Rocking the Daisies 2013, we hope happy memories were made and recovery has been swift. My brain still seems to be trying to catch up to the fact that I'm in front of a computer and not a stage. If you're feeling the same, then why not put those day-to-day mundanties on hold and relive those daisy dearest times with a read of Sindy Peters' RTD experience.

Next music festival of epic proportions on the list is Synergy Live, taking place from 29 November till 1 December. With internationals Foreign Beggars and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus just announced as headliners, this fest seems to be destined for a diary schedule. In other music news, old time rocker Bryan Adams returns to SA as part of his Bare Bones World Tour.

Eugene Yiga reviews The Frontiersmen, a provocative and PG-rated play currently on show at the Alexander Bar, and finds out more about the Ninth annual Baxter Theatre Dance Festival. In movie news, Daniel Dercksen reviews two power-packed actions; RIPD, the buddy cop movie with a twist, and the retro racing film, Rush.

In motoring news, Henrie Geyser reviews the strikingly packaged new BMW GT and the souped up Tata Xenon bakkie, while travel editor Brian Berkman pays a visit to genteel hotel, The Lord Milner in Matjiesfontein.

Our new competition this week is one for the craft beer connoisseurs; we have two tickets up for grabs to the Big House Craft Beer Fest taking place at the Jan Smuts Museum in Pretoria next Saturday. Cheers!
