Show profile Hide profileAly Faruque, age 37, married and father of 2 young girls is originally from Lisbon, Portugal and established himself in Mozambique in 2007.
He has read for a Business Management undergrad from Catholic Lisbon School of Business and Economics in 2004, and continued his lifelong learning studies with a Post Graduate Studies in Corporate Finance at ISCTE (2006) and more recently a Real Estate Executive Education Certificate from Harvard Business School (2012).
Currently he heads the Business Development for CR Holdings, one of the largest real estate developers in Mozambique. Aly assisted in the development and currently manages a portfolio of more than 70M USD that includes the Park Inn By Radisson Hotel (Tete), the Sol and Rio Housing Condominium (Tete), the Zimpeto Square Shopping Centre (Maputo) and the Millennium Park Office building (Maputo). CR Holdings is now developing a mixed-use development, The Maputo City Waterfront, with approximately 290,000.00 sqm of construction area in downtown Maputo facing the sea.
Prior to joining CR Holdings, he worked at Banco Finantia, a Portuguese Investment Bank and he managed a Hospitallity consultancy company.
