MTN ad account goes to pitch
It is MTN's policy to review its suppliers on a regular basis. As such, it has been decided to take the advertising account, currently run by TBWA, to pitch. Media partner, OMD, sponsorship partner, Octagon, PR consultancy, Kilimanjaro, and interactive partner, Shift, remain unaffected. TBWA has been working on the MTN account for the past 10 years. In total, five agencies, including incumbent TBWA will be invited to pitch for the business. These include; Ogilvy & Mather, Grey Global, Lowe Bull and Y&R Gitam. The pitch process will be completed by the end of April 2004 and no other agencies will be considered.
