Largest packaging markets found in Europe
Italy, Poland, and Turkey are Europe's fastest growing major flexible packaging markets with each of the countries reporting growth of over 3% in the past year. This finding was made in PCI Wood Mackenzie's latest review of the European marketplace titled 'Flexible Packaging Supply Demand Study - Europe to 2021'.
The report also found that the largest flexible packaging market remains in Europe; accounting for 18% of the global total in 2016. PCI Wood Mackenzie forecasts that flexible packaging demand will pick up slightly in Europe in 2017 and subsequently grow by 2.2% p.a. to reach €15.5bn in 2021.
