As part of their 67 minutes contribution to Mandela Day today, 18 July 2014, the Arup staff joined in a knitathon to create colourful scarves for the children of Nomthandazo Childrens Care Centre (NCCC) in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni. This is one of the Oliver's House projects and it cares for 22 children from the surrounding area in a warehouse, offering pre-school education. 18 Jul 2014

Woolworths Childsafe Research and Educational Centre now open
Yesterday 15 May 2014, the Woolworths Childsafe Research and Educational Centre opened in Western Cape. The Woolworths Trust donated R1.45 million towards the R6.4 million the Children's Hospital Trust needed to build the Centre. This is Africa's first centre dedicated to child safety and injury prevention and will provide Childsafe with the infrastructure it needs. 16 May 2014
