AFP goes live from Cannes on Facebook
Every morning of the festival, which runs from 11-12 May, a story and video will enable you to catch up on what's happening along the Croisette. In the afternoons, the page will provide a running update on the contenders for the Palme d'Or and there will be a section devoted to the day's most talked-about celebrity. The "Daily Buzz" provides an overview of the main events of the previous 24 hours while the "Red Carpet" section will track the movements of the stars. Live from the Croisette, an AFP photographer will share the festival atmosphere with pictures and text, and correspondents will provide regular tweets.
On the day half-way through the festival and on the eve of the awards ceremony, users will be able to take part in live chats with our journalists on the main highlights of the festival so far, including the films and the stars who have made their mark on this 64th edition.
Updates including pictures and video will be posted on the main AFP Facebook page every day. For Cannes and other major events, AFP is putting together special teams to produce dedicated Facebook pages.
