LONDON, UK: Twitterworld is agog and has gone gaga for Lady Gaga... yesterday, 19 August 2010, she was expected to confirm her status as the hottest star on the planet, when she became the world's most popular Twitter user, according to www.famecount.com/, the social media statistics service.

At current rates of follower growth, Lady Gaga was set to storm past Britney yesterday or, at latest, today, Friday 20 August. The milestone further cements Lady Gaga's status as the world's most popular star online.
