Safari tough goes to US

The Howling Moon rooftop tents and other South African made products have been introduced to the American market for the first time at the 2010 International Sportsmen's Exposition in Salt Lake City. Distributed by BunduGear, a Santa Fe, New Mexico based outdoor equipment company to the US market, the owner, Roualeyn de Haas, uses the fitting slogan, ‘Safari-tested. Safari-tough.'

A native of South Africa and a former safari guide, de Haas emphasized the high quality and rugged durability of the South African-made products. "We've had these Howling Moon tents on non-stop expeditions for over four years in some of the toughest conditions on the planet. These are designed to be a lifetime investment and they've been tested in real-world conditions. Simply put, Howling Moon tents are built to last," said de Haas in an interview at his expo booth.

Mike Sears, the South Africa-based sales and marketing manager of Jurgens Ci, the parent company of Howling Moon, was also on hand to answer questions about the new line of products. High quality Howling Moon Tents in camouflage are expected to be introduced to the American market later this year.
