From the front the MG6 shows a partly new grille housing the larger logo, new headlights and a new front bumper incorporating LED lights. Photographed testing near Beijing, both the heavily camouflaged sedan and fastback versions also showed new tail lights and a redesigned rear bumber with a new shark fin antenna on the roof.
The new version, to be unveiled at the upcoming Chengdu Auto Show in September, will have the same engines and transmission combinations. No mention of any changes to the award-winning handling characteristics has been mentioned.
The MG6, locally available as sedan and hatch, is available in South Africa with the 1.8 turbo petrol engine boasting 118kW and 215Nm of torque. Pricing starts from R239,900.
