The proposal was made on the evening of Thursday, 22 August 2013 following extensive engagement between AMEO and NUMSA representatives.
The detail of the proposal cannot be made public before NUMSA has discussed it with their members, but AMEO has confirmed that it is the most favourable proposal ever made in the history of collective bargaining in the automotive industry.
AMEO believes that, given the current economic condition, this is the best settlement proposal that can be made and will hopefully not only be appreciated by NUMSA and the employees as such, but will also lead to labour stability in the industry and contribute to the much needed growth of the economy.
