Drive and win a new Suzuki

Even better, one lucky driver will become the owner of a brand-new Suzuki Swift hatchback.

The Suzuki Acceleration Series, which will be staged at major centres across the country, offers licensed drivers the opportunity of experiencing the new Suzuki Swift and SX4 hatchbacks hands on, and to compete for an amazing array of prizes - including a brand new Suzuki Swift 1.5 GL.

The events are being run at shopping centres in all major metropolitan areas countrywide, and will see participating motorists prove their driving skills against the clock on a preset course, using Suzuki's new Swift and SX4 hatchbacks.

The course will consist of precision driving exercises, and will have to be completed in both cars. The timed runs of the course will be preceded by a short driver training session with a qualified instructor.

Top-scoring participants from each round of the Suzuki Acceleration Series will compete in regional and national finals, with the Suzuki Swift GL going to the eventual winner of the final round.

"We want South Africans to experience the excitement and innovation of our Suzuki cars hands on," says Charl Timms, head of sales and marketing of Suzuki Auto SA. "The Suzuki Way of Life is always innovative, and rather than running static promotions, we decided on a more dynamic approach."

The Suzuki Acceleration Series is being run as a teaser campaign ahead of the official launch of the Swift and SX4 hatchbacks in early June. "It will visit major centres around the country on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of July," Timms added.

In addition to the Swift GL, the line-up of prizes that can be won in the Suzuki Acceleration Series includes a Suzuki LTZ250 ATV, and a Suzuki AN125 Scooter.

The RPM TV motoring show on SuperSport has been appointed the media partner of the Suzuki Acceleration Series, and will be broadcasting regular updates about the series, including the best times set.
