The new Audi A4 - what will the new RS 4 be like?
Now imagine yourself walking around Johannesburg's streets and something catches your eye leaving you no choice but stop and take it all in. Nine times out of ten the view of an Audi will have this effect on an automobile fan. One of Audi's longest continuing line of automobiles are the Audi A4's.
Just by taking a glance at what Audi has done over the years, you cannot argue that it hasn't stamped its authority amongst automobile brands as one of the most elegant luxury vehicles around that has survived the test of time.
A generation of excellence
The new Audi A4 still carries bits and pieces of its predecessors, and if you look closely enough you will be able to admire the ingenuity and finesse of its design and engineering as it evolved over the years. The new A4 Avant estate and sedan models are the latest additions to its legacy, and are looking bolder than ever. It's hard to believe that there can be another model which is bolder and alarmingly stunning - but the anticipated Audi RS4 next generation model will mostly like be just that. It will look mean and unforgiving, but still maintain that luxurious appeal for which Audi is known. You can just imagine how exhilarating it must be to be behind the wheel of one of these machines.
Their newest RS 4 models are expected to be released in 2017. Audi is shaking things up, and we expect them to roll out a sedan version of the RS 4, together with a wagon model, which still offers a level of exclusivity that has all types of motorists around the world anxiously waiting.
Performance ability
The new Audi A4 Avant estate and sedan will include an "automated pilot" system which lets you take a breather and relax whilst the car handles the slow moving traffic for you. This is a pure demonstration of luxury and the technological savviness of the brand. The forthcoming Audi RS 4 model is expected to be equipped with a "twin turbo-charged" engine, which will allow it to hold its own against the Mercedes-AMG C63 and BMW M3 sedan models. This will optimise the car's engine output and fuel economy, making it one of Audi's most efficient models. The car's engine is speculated to be a twin-turbo 4 litre V8. The RS 4 is also expected to dish out around 500bhp, making it a powerhouse with a 'Quattro four-wheel drive system'.
Taking in the view
The A4 range is striking and their aesthetics steal your gaze. The vehicles have undergone a revitalization in exterior design with a renewed look - but the new models don't stray too far from their roots. The design has sharper edges, which creates an edgy masculine shape, which is what Audi appears to be aiming for. Audi did not forget the interior either - it overhauled the seats, steering wheels and interior gadgets such as the MMI display unit. We can only expect new RS 4 model to look even more aggressive with stronger design definitions and sporty appeal much like the current Audi RS 4.
It is clear how Audi has not only survived the test of time but has also embraced it. It has developed a formula that pushes the boundaries of workmanship, technology and luxurious design, which is appreciated by all car enthusiasts alike. These new A4 models are a testament to that. If we look at what Audi has achieved in the automotive industry, we can only assume that the new generation model of the Audi RS 4 will be another milestone in the brand's legacy, and will stake its claim on the title of being the car to purchase when looking for beauty and power. The showcase cannot come soon enough. Until then, we can enjoy Audi's current, brilliant A4 range.
