Motor trade sales lower in April

Motor trade sales (measured in nominal terms and current prices) decreased by 2% year-on-year (y/y) in April from a 2.9% increase y/y in March‚ Statistics SA says.

Seasonally adjusted motor trade sales decreased by 0.4% in April compared with March.

Seasonally adjusted motor trade sales increased by 1.6% in the three months ended April compared with the previous three months.

Motor trade sales increased by 1.7% in the three months ended April compared with the three months ended April last year.
