Pierre, who helped to take Trucks & Heavy Equipment from its launch in May 2008 to the widest circulating transport magazine in SA (ABC for the period April - June 2013 is 7,453) will be responsible for the November/December edition, which will include wide coverage of the Johannesburg Truck & Bus Show and will also include our Annual Special Report Feature on Materials Handling - "Forklifts and Cranes".
Van der Laan, who joins Trucks & Heavy Equipment with over 33 years experience gained across a wide spectrum of newspaper journalism, corporate communications and magazine publishing, will be responsible for the January/February 2014 edition and all following editions. Sanson will be available to assist with the transition.
"I will still be around to assist Annelise as she takes up the responsibility of her new position and would like to thank all the customers and friends who have supported me in my long career in the trucking and related industries, especially in this recent period as editor of Trucks & Heavy Equipment," added the retiring editor.
Teddy Knoetze, a very experienced motoring writer and magazine publisher, is a regular contributor to Trucks & Heavy Equipment, and is responsible for all aspects of lay-out and production.

John Stanton, Sharon Porter and Grant Stanton, along with the marketing, sales and administration staff, boast many years of experience in the motor industry and in the publishing of motor vehicle and truck industry publications.
