Farmers can benefit from fuel management system
"In collaboration with the farmers and using our Piusi range on management and dispensing fuel equipment, we have developed a complete management system," says Warren Erasmus, managing director of Meter Systems. "This includes a dispensing pump operated with a tagging system that permits pre-selected users to enter vehicle information and the quantity of the diesel required, and allows this information to be exported in customised reports to a computer."
Less expenditures
The most important advantage of a good fuel management system is that it not only controls and keeps track of fuel distribution and consumption, but it also adds to the bottom line by decreasing fuel and labour related expenditures.
For each fuelling transaction, the fuel management system will make sure that the operator and the vehicle are identified and keeps track of how much fuel is taken, making it virtually impossible for users to consume fuel unless authorised; eliminate spillage; and allows for tight fuel inventory management through reconciliation of fuelling transactions, totaliser readings, and tank levels.
Farmers can then print this recorded information in the required SARS format and submit for their diesel usages and refunds as required.
