Kelly Group subsidiary the Professional Assignments Group (PAG) has acquired freight recruitment specialist EMK Staffing Solutions to spearhead its entry into the freight, forwarding and clearing sector.
The group has brands that include Kelly, Executive Secretary Appointments, Kelly Industrial PAG, Accountants On Call, Frontline, Renwick Talent, Kelly ICT, Torque IT, InnStaff and Paxsal Business Process Outsourcing. It also has an operation in the US through M Squared and Collabrus in San Francisco. Samantha Konkol, the founder of EMK Staffing Solutions, who has more than 16 years' experience in the freight industry, will head the newly established freight recruitment division.
Konkol said the merger would allow EMK Staffing Solutions to expand its offerings to clients, as well as offer freight services to PAG's other clients.
She said it would allow EMK Staffing Solutions to grow nationally as it fitted into PAG's national backbone and the two companies had the same values.
EMK Staffing Solutions, which will now operate as a wholly owned division of PAG, focuses exclusively on comprehensive staffing solutions for the freight forwarding and clearing industry, covering all areas of the intermodal transportation industry.
