National distribution deal for local power cable manufacturer

A widely recognised brand, the Snapper products comply with the SABS standards (SANS IEC 60884). They include three-pin electrical plugs and adapters and are manufactured by Jasco. The distribution agreement also covers multiplugs and extensions comprising of a three pin plug with a three, five or 10 metre power cable and a double plug socket.

"There is limited local manufacture of electrical plugs in South Africa and much of the requirement is imported," Aberdare's Snapper brand manager Richard Cockshott told ESI-Africa, adding that Aberdare's national footprint will ensure broad distribution of the products to the distributors that supply to hardware, electrical and other stores countrywide.
