Kestrel wins exporter award for second time
At a prestigious event hosted by the Eastern Cape branch of the Exporters Club of South Africa, Kestrel Renewable Energy, the alternative energy subsidiary of Eveready was awarded the SME Exporter of the Year award - the second time it has held the title.
Due to its unique patented engineering and design, Kestrel is South Africa's only manufacturer of small wind turbines, and is quickly gaining a global reputation as the small wind turbine of choice. "Our growth has been significant, with installations increasing year on year for the past three years," said Kestrel sales director Leon Gouws. "Our wind turbines are manufactured in our state of the art manufacturing plant in Port Elizabeth which is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified.
"We have been selling and installing our range of renewable energy solutions to the consumers through our sales team and network of international partners and installers. One thing we especially pride ourselves on is how, with our partners, tailor make a solution to fit the customer's location and need," Gouws said.
