Nigcomsat launched new DTH TV platform in Nigeria

NigComSat, the African Communications Satellite has officially launched a new direct-to-home TV platform in Nigeria which is called, NextTV.

The new joint venture is between Nigus International and China Great Wall Industry Corporation (CGWIC0).

The new TV service will have over 140 channels. Nigus International will have the lead in the partnership company and will be providing investment capital, management, administration, license, marketing and content. Nigus will hold 15% equity stake in NextTV. China Great Wall Industry Corporation however holds 10% equity.

NigComSat has launched a free DTH service in December 2017 offering more than 40 free news, sports and entertainment channels across Africa.
