Get connected via mobile broadband
Nigeria's second national operator, Globacom, has awarded Alcatel-Lucent the contract to install a wireless network in selected Nigerian cities, including Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, Benin and Ibadan. The network is to be based on UMTS/HSPA (Universal Mobile Telecommunications Service/High Speed Packet Access) technology, and aims to provide an additional one million subscribers with mobile broadband services.
