Toyota 86 is made for driving pleasure
[Henrie Geyser] Say Toyota and words such as solid, reliable, good value spring to mind, not sexy and desirable - but that has all changed with the arrival of the Toyota 86, the prettiest, affordable two-seater hard top sports car to arrive in this country for a long, long time.

Supermarket advertising... Is price everything?

[Tony Wightman] Pack and claim has degenerated to pack and price, a sort of jumbled catalogue paid for by suppliers. The worst of it is that the endless inserts that arrive with a thump in the local paper are largely neutralised by the opposition. The two main groups Pick n Pay and Shoprite/Checkers are producing such similar glossy inserts that if you look quickly, it is hard to tell whose insert you are seeing.

Leads, and when to drop 'em

Daryn Smith[Daryn Smith] One of the primary responsibilities of a business-to-business marketer is to generate leads; some do this through focused lead generation programs primarily through digital channels, while others take a more subtle approach through brand related marketing.

Business lessons to be learned from 1time airline
[Nthabeleng Meso] In the preceding week I was looking forward to my flight from Cape Town to Johannesburg over the weekend. However my excitement was short lived; on Friday afternoon I was one among the thousand of people who heard via e.tv news that 1time Airline had filed for liquidation.

Hair raising: Taking a stache for men's health

Chamendran Naidoo[Chamendran Naidoo] 'Tis the season when shopping malls are adorned with frosting upon their windows and sprightly men and women don their short-shorts and take to the streets with glee in their hearts and moustaches upon their lips. Yes, you read that right. In fact, oh my readers, this article finds your dear author with nascent shadows of a budding bush tickling his nose at this very moment, all in the name of spreading awareness for men's health.

Cause-based marketing overload

Anton Ressel[Anton Ressel] Do you market yourself as a 'green' business? OK, so you may use recycled materials in your products, limit electricity usage, even have different dustbins for glass, plastic and other, but does that entitle you to use words such as 'sustainable manufacturer' or 'environmentally-friendly' in your marketing spiel?
