Africa's number one telecommunications operator MTN, who started operations in the early 90s, is unveiling the iconic Apple iPhone 4 Smartphone.

With operations in 21 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East, the MTN network is ready for the intensive data requirements of smartphones. Having spent in excess of R15-billion over the past two years on network upgrades to prepare for the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ and beyond, MTN has shown its commitment to growing its network.

The Apple iPhone 4 will initially be available only from selected MTN-branded stores around South Africa, but will be rolled out to more than 250 outlets nationwide by mid-October.
