The Oprah and Joko tea parties
Nothing says summer quite like a garden party, replete with smiling women, an abundance of flowers, beautiful hats, daintily decorated cakes, luscious strawberries and a cup of tea.
The Oprah and Joko tea parties were hosted in Durban (Zimbali) on 13 September, in Johannesburg on 19 September, in Pretoria on 20 September and Cape Town on 26 September.
O magazine readers were invited to an afternoon of fanciful fun and stimulating conversation, with a chance to network with like-minded women. In true
O style, one person from each of the four tea parties around the country will be entered into a draw for the main prize – a trip for two to see The Oprah Winfrey Show in Chicago, courtesy of
O magazine, Joko and British Airways. The winners will be treated to a return British Airways Club World (business class) flights to Chicago, four-night's accommodation, a city tour, all meals and transport, and, best of all, two sought-after seats at a live recording of The Oprah Winfrey Show.
