On the Flipside this could be Good..-
Going digital does not mean all is “kosher”. Today’s consumer is better informed and knows to differentiate between a “FongKong” and” legit” in the words of Mzansi. Digital is Good only when there is true value attached with it, and I mean basic human value systems, “the God written code” eg. “How does this improve my life, what can I learn from this, that type of system”. Unfortunately most content digitally available is cheap glaze, nothing that packs a punch to a consumer (values) and it can really get extreme and tasteless. It’s all the same Photoshoped realities, all the get rich quick rut, ever thought maybe someone out there wants to know how things are done, the processes behind and how value is determined?Digital technology and all the good intensions of these innovations are washed out by a system that doesn’t understand that technology is a tool not an excuse. So till we can learn that technology is a tool to speed up well founded principles, the SA consumer will always apply caution after all with the current global chaos who wouldn’t be cautious.
