New GM at MultiChoice Kenya

Stephen Isaboke is the new GM of MultiChoice Kenya. He is the first Kenyan to hold this position.


Stephen Isaboke - a milestone appointment.
Isaboke was formerly Commercial Manager at oil marketing firm Kenya Shell Ltd. He has over 17 years of multifaceted experience in sales, marketing and general management in the fast-moving commodity goods and oil industries. He has held several senior positions at Kenya Shell, Sara Lee Kenya and Unilever Kenya. Isaboke has an MBA (Strategic Management), Bcom (Hons) Marketing - from the University of Nairobi and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketig (CIM - UK).

Confident about marrying his unique and extensive experience in the Kenyan environment with his business-minded approach to market growth and development, Isaboke is inspired by his new position and its portfolio. “MultiChoice Kenya has an excellent reputation in the Kenyan business arena and I am excited to be coming on board with the objective of fueling growth in a company that offers such an exciting product range to such a broad potential customer base.”

Richard Tembedza, the company's out-going GM, who was promoted to the role of Director: Joint Ventures for the company operations in sub-Saharan Africa, said the appointment is aimed at consolidating the company's lead in the pay-TV industry in Kenya. “We are excited by the continued expansion of our business in Kenya and in Steve, we have a passionate businessman with the ambition to further grow our subscriber base in the Kenyan market. This appointment is also a milestone in that our business in Kenya is now run by a 100 percent Kenyan staff compliment”.
