SABRE nomination for Cape Town PR agency

Green Point-based public relations agency Fleishman-Hillard Cape Town is one of only three South African PR firms to be nominated for a 2008 European SABRE Award.

The agency has been nominated in the ‘Africa' category for its crisis communication support provided to Canterbury International South Africa during the 2007 Rugby World Cup.

“Being part of the world's largest PR firm, we like to benchmark ourselves against both local and international agencies,” says Elian Wiener, MD of Fleishman-Hillard Cape Town. “To be nominated for a European SABRE award tells us the service we are providing to our clients is on a par with the very best in the world.”

The European SABREs are amongst the most sought-after awards in the European PR business, attracting more than 1000 entries from more than 20 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The winners of this year's awards will be announced in Venice, Italy, on 22 May 2008.
