DDB South Africa strengthens Africa Network

DDB South Africa has announced the formation of a specialised division within the company to handle its business in Africa. The division, to be known as 'DDB Interstation', will co-ordinate the agency's activities in the ten African countries where DDB SA is active.
DDB has also increased its African footprint with the signing of an associate agreement with Hash Three, one of Zimbabwe's premier advertising and marketing agencies.

DDB has a presence in Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Cote d'Ivoire, South Africa, Mozambique, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt and now, Zimbabwe.

Mike Frampton, Chairman of DDB said of the deal "Africa is without a doubt one of the last real growth markets in the world. An African strategy is central to many of today's global brands. With this latest agreement we feel that DDB South Africa has further entrenched itself as the agency of choice for any company which wants to see its brands succeed on the continent.

"DDB lives by its motto of 'enemies of the ordinary'. If we didn't live this we'd be happy to play in the SA sandpit, but we believe that our Africa network adds significant value to our clients operations and we will continue looking for innovative new ways to expand our footprint."

Hash Three's clients include Trust Bank Corporation, PG, ZOU, The National Arts Council, IBM and the Zimbabwean Broadcasting Corporation.

Hash Three will be changing its name to DDB Hash Three and will be working closely with DDB South Africa in Zimbabwe on various accounts including Unifoods and Exxon-Mobil.
