Lifestyle & Entertainment

Find your entertainment flavour

This weekend promises a host of exciting entertainment options to choose from. If you're looking for musical entertainment, there's a diverse range of offerings this and next week. DJ Nickie "Cartel" Duku is set to perform a series of gigs in Joburg, the first ever DJ in the Park event debuts in Jozi on Saturday, and Tree63's reunion tour kicks off in Pretoria on Monday.

If foodie events are more your flavour, then you might be interested in the SA Sweet and Snack Expo taking place this weekend at the Coca-Cola Dome or the Eat Out Zonnebloem Produce Awards at the Oude Libertas Estate in Stellenbosch this Saturday.

Need to just kick back? Then perhaps a visit to Cinema Nouveau to view the multi-award-winning production of War Horse, in association with the Handspring Puppet Company, is more your style.

Competitions this week see you stand the chance to win two tickets to the Women's Lifestyle Expo at the V&A Waterfront, two tickets to either the Cape Town or Joburg John Newman concert, two tickets to Park Acoustics, and a Basson Laubscher & The Violent Free Peace EP!

Happy weekend-ing!

Calling all Oenophile's

christine storey, Issued by Wrappa Branding and Design

No, it's not what you think. The word 'Oenophile' is from the Greek word 'oinos' meaning 'wine' + 'phile' from Greek word 'philos' meaning 'loving' - a lover of wine, usually as a connoisseur, and after recently attending the maiden "Pinot Noir Festival" in the Hemel en Aarde area in the Western Cape, I can honestly say, I am now an Oenophile.
