33 students join MTN Uganda internship programme

This programme has been going on for over five years seeing many of the former interns join MTN-Uganda as full-time employees upon completing their studies. Since 2009 when the program was inaugurated, more than 236 students have so far gone through the MTN internship program.
Explaining the gist of the program MTN Uganda General Manager Human Resources Michael Sekadde said: "The MTN Annual Internship programme is an opportunity offered by MTN-Uganda to potential future talent, referred to as 'interns', to work with the organisation for a limited period of time as part of their course/degree completion requirement.
"The programme runs for a period of three months during which the students/interns are given an opportunity to enhance their knowledge and work experience in the different divisions within MTN Uganda and their field of study as well as an opportunity for MTN Uganda to also spot potential talent who can be groomed for the future.
