Ferrari Day to be celebrated at Kyalami racetrack
Organised by the Southern Equitorial Ferrari Automobili Club (SEFAC), the annual Kyalami event is the one occasion when members of the world's oldest Ferrari owners' club have unrivalled access to the challenging 4.26km circuit.
"Ferrari Day at Kyalami is quite possibly South African motoring's best kept secret: a festival of speed and sound when 200 of Maranello's finest automotive creations descend on the legendary racetrack. Given the track's uncertain future, we are expecting a turnout second-to-none. Great cars already confirmed for the day include the all-new 458 Speciale, a unique 250 GT racecar from the sixties and the fire-breathing F40 - the last car to be personally signed off by Enzo Ferrari," says event organiser Peter Angouras of SEFAC.
More than 10,000 spectators are anticipated and the organisers recommend getting to the circuit early. Gates open at 9am and general admission is free of charge.
