Pain at the petrol pumps for September
As per the latest petrol price adjustment for September 2019 by the Department of Energy, motorists are in for a hefty petrol and diesel price increase from Wednesday, 4 September 2019.

According to reports, the petrol price, for September, will increase by:
- 11.4 cents for Petrol 95 ULP;
- 26.6 cents for Diesel 0.05%;
- 26 cents for Diesel 0.005%; and
- 23 cents for Paraffin
The main reason for the increases is the weakening of the Rand against the US Dollar on average during the period under review.
Petrol prices in South Africa have now increased for seven out of eight months in 2019.
