Volume of goods transported by land decreases 5.7% y/y in July
The volume of goods transported (payload) decreased 5.7% in July 2015 compared with July 2014, figures from Stats SA showed.

The corresponding income decreased 3.8% over the same period.
Income from freight transportation decreased 3.1% in the three months ended July 2015 compared with the three months ended July 2014.
The number of passenger journeys decreased 4.7% in July 2015 compared with July 2014. The corresponding income increased 2.5% over the same period.
