What started off as an informal challenge around a braai amongst friends has turned into an annual two-day, 253km mountain trail bike ride. This year's Jackal Berry MTB Challenge which hits the road on 29 November, is hoping to raise R20 000 for the Ubuhle Day Care and Development Centre in Bronkhorstspruit.

In order to register as a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) with the South African Revenue Service (SARS), an organisation must comply with a number of provisions, set out in section 30 of the Income Tax Act, No 58 of 1962 (Income Tax Act). Preferential tax treatment is conferred on a non-profit organisation which has obtained PBO status, and such compliant organisation's receipts and accruals are exempt from certain South African taxes.

Trudon Corporate Social Investment (CSI) has unveiled a sponsorship of a digital innovation centre at Kwena Molapo High School. The school is the first such school of this nature to be equipped with a digital learning environment.
