E-learning concept proudly Kenyan - Minister

Nairobi: Kenya's Minister of Education said this week that the country's e-learning concept will be “Proudly Kenyan.” Professor Sam Ongeri told media that they had rejcted foreign concepts in favour of locally-devised ones to digitalise the country's education system.
“A number of people have in the past came to us with foreign e-learning content for us to adopt but we have rejected them so that that we can develop our very content,” he said at the launch of Kenya's first phase of a curriculum e-learning project by the Kenya Institute of Education.
