The Red & Yellow Springboard Marketing Institute of Johannesburg hosted the first class of the Springboard learnership on 31 August 2015. Since then 30 keen learners attended classes every day, trying to absorb as much as they could about the industry they’d chosen as a future career.
When the time came for the learners to be placed for workplace learning in March of 2016, AdMakers was one of the first agencies to jump at the opportunity of having a Springboard graduate as a work place learner. “We love working with Red and Yellow to support new talent development. We find their candidates to be highly qualified and ready to hit the ground running”, said JP Fourie, CEO of AdMakers.
With the help of the course director, AdMakers chose to change the life of a talented young student, Clementine Mojapelo, by offering her the chance to live in Cape Town for the first time in her life (all expenses paid), and work in client service for global luxury brands like RIVA yachts, vehicle brands like Opel and international real clients like the Darvesh Group. “It’s only my second month in this cultivating environment, but I’ve already learnt so much from everyone I’ve worked with. I look forward to learning even more in the coming months, and will always remember to be a SPONGE”, said Clementine.
