Abisola Owolawi joins Forbes Africa team

22 Jun 2012 13:04
Africa Business News (ABN360), home of CNBC Africa and Forbes Africa, has announced that business journalist, Abisola Owolawi, has joined the Forbes Africa team in Lagos.
Owolawi, a Nigerian journalist who has spent time working in South Africa, will cover West African business and economics stories for both Forbes Africa magazine and the newly-commissioned Forbes Television.

"I am honoured to be a part of a truly unique brand that gives Africa a new voice," says Owolawi of her new appointment.

Chris Bishop, managing editor of Forbes Africa, says that he's thrilled to have Owolawi on board.

"This appointment is a reflection of the importance of Nigeria and West Africa to us at Forbes Africa. There is a growing army of readers in the region and we want to give them more quality coverage. Abisola is a very keen and talented journalist, who will take to telling the story of her region with a will," says Bishop.
