Thursday's the new weekend

Well I wish it could be anyway... You might have noticed that we didn't send our weekly Lifestyle newsletter this past Tuesday. That's because we are now coming at you on them fine Thursdays; a full two days closer to the weekend. Now your mind should be sufficiently primed to receive news of the lifestyle and entertainment kind, 'cos weekend parties need to be planned and competitions won!

This weekend offers a host of fomo-inducing entertainment options; my favourite fest of all time Up the Creek starts today! (One festival that does believe Thursday is the new start to the weekend.) Anna-Bet Bester advices what to pack for UTC when it comes to eats and drinks. Trancie hippies will be (psy)ching themselves up for Origin, while our friends up north might be gearing up for the AXECESS event featuring Big Sean - win 2 tickets to this event, just enter here!

Speaking of winning, we have a smorgasbord of competitions at the go. Two tickets to the following events are all up for grabs; the Breathe Sunshine African Music Conference, the Cape Town Tens Tournament, the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert featuring Fokofpolisiekar, the Loved Up Festival in both JHB and CPT and, of course, the AXECESS event featuring Big Sean!

Happy Thursday and happy weekend!

The popularity of the Chevrolet's Cruze is going to increase by quite a few notches now that GMSA has replaced its sleepy normally aspirated 1.8 engine with a turbo-fed 1.4 engine that not only provides more low-down kick but is also more frugal when it comes to fuel usage and emissions.
