Lucky 2013! Hello there and welcome to the first Lifestyle newsletter of the new year! Seems like there are many great events to look forward to this year. Our early 2013 diary entries foresee the Cape Tattoo Expo, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Up the Creek, the Skrillex SA tour and The Music Exchange Conference on our imminent horizon. But before we look too (forward) to the future one must look to the past and catch up on some news published during the holiday break. First up is a report on the most popular articles and contributors of 2012. And on that note our number one 2012 contributor, movie buff Daniel Derksen, reviews recent releases; the gritty but beautiful Gangster Squad and proudly local animation Adventures in Zambezia. While our second most popular contributor of 2012; Eugene Yiga reports back on current theatre productions; Mayardville's Shakespeare adaption of Cardenio and David Kramer's Kalahari Karoo Blues. Motoring Editor Henrie Geyser was busy over the holiday beak and reviews the sexy SL 500, the new double cab Land Cruiser and the latest addition to the Honda family; the entry level Honda Brio. We also have some great competitions to kick start your year; tickets to the Cape Tatoo Expo, Up the Creek and the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concert featuring Jimmy Dludlu are all up for grabs! Here's to an entertaining 2013! Ruth Cooper, production manager (@biz_lounge)
